Ameer is a Communications intern at CAIR-Chicago. He is a Syrian-American native of Chicago’s west suburbs, and a senior at Northwestern University in Evanston. He is currently majoring in History and Middle East and North African Studies, and spent a summer studying Arabic at the Qasid Institute in Amman, Jordan. Ameer is also a research assistant in the Political Science Department at Northwestern, where he translates and transcribes interviews with Syrian activists now living in exile.
