CHICAGO (CBS) — It will not be as cold Tuesday night, with lows in many areas staying above freezing.
Gusty, mild southwest winds will be blowing around daybreak ahead of the approaching cold front.
Highs will be well into the 40s, and some 50s south of I-80.
Once the front passes, a chilly wind off the lake will create falling temperatures later in the day, especially lakeside.
A warming trend is coming heading into the weekend and next week. For Thursday, the high is 40 with partly cloudy conditions.
