CHICAGO — At least two people are shot and two others are in custody after an incident in the city’s North Austin neighborhood, according to authorities.
The shooting happened around 10:30 a.m. Friday in the 1200 block of N. Mason. A SWAT team was called to the scene.
During an unrelated press conference, CPD Supt. David Brown said two arrests were made after an exchange of gunfire.
One person is in serious condition at Mount Sinai Hospital. Another person was also transported, their condition is unknown at this time, according to authorities.
A shooting investigation is underway. No further details are available at this time.
