SCHAUMBURG, Ill. — A crash involving two trucks along Interstate 90 in the northwest suburbs left two people hospitalized on Friday afternoon.

Illinois State Police said the incident unfolded just after 1:30 p.m. in the eastbound lanes of I-90 at North Meacham Road in Schaumburg.

According to troopers, a dump truck and a truck-tractor semi-trailer collided, leaving both drivers injured.

WGN SkyCam9 was over the scene around 4:05 p.m. when one of the trucks involved could be seen on its side as crews worked to right the vehilce using trucks with small crane arms.

There also appeared to be some damage to the median barrier with nearby a trail of debris and tire tracks visible from overhead.

Authorities have not provided an update on the condition of either driver or details on what led up to the crash.

Because of the crash troopers closed the left three eastbound lanes of I-90, but the right shoulder remained open. It is unclear how long the closures are expected to last.
