CHICAGO – A woman has died and four other people, including three children, were injured in a crash Sunday afternoon in Garfield Park.
Chicago police said the crash happened just before 1:30 p.m. in the 4300 block of West Lake Street.
A Lexus SUV was traveling westbound on Lake Street when it hit a pillar. A male of unknown age was taken to Mt. Sinai Hospital initially listed in serious condition; a 30-year-old woman was taken to Mt, Sinai Hospital where she died from her injuries; three children – ages 11, 13 and 15 – were taken to Stroger Hospital initially listed in serious condition, according to investigators.
Police said no citations were issued and the investigation continues.
